Kindle Lighted Cover - Hands on Experience

Kindle Lighted Cover has an LED bulb that attaches via gold plated hinges to the Kindle for maximum electrical conductivity. These covers come in many different colors and has a high quality leather exterior with a stone grain finish. The interior is micro-fiber and provides a soft and protective enclosure for your Kindle.

Kindle lit covers are available online, and now many department stores such as Best-Buy, Wal-Mart and target

The Good News:

* Quality - High quality stone-grain leather exterior.

* Maintenance - Because light is battery powered by the Kindle, no batteries required.

*Very bright LED light arm that will illuminate the page in complete darkness

* Easy operation - Light Reading is located in the upper right corner of the back. Just pull the light, and it automatically turns on, eliminating the need for a separate power button.

* Cover completely covers case so drops and scratches will not tarnish the Kindle

The Bad News:

*Extending the Light is a little awkward, but is really not noticeable

*With the cover the Kindle is a fair bit heavier, but this does not hinder it's portability

Conclusion:

This is a definite good decision for Kindle owners. The Kindle does not have a backlit LCD screen. This is an advantage in bright light environments or even outside; however it makes the Kindle virtually impossible to read in low light or darkness. The cover allows you to retain the outdoor readability with the option of the bright LED to shine at night

The weight issue is something that initially bothered me when I first got the kindle lighted cover. It did however grow on me over time, as the added bulk did feel more like an actual novel in my hands

The cover itself is manufactured in high quality leather; it definitely feels like a properly fabricated cover.

Most local stores do not have the range of colors that online stores such as Kindle Lighted Cover When I was at Wal Mart Ii could only find black.
