The Latest Amazon Kindle Wireless eBook Reader - Get the Facts Straight From a Buyer

The latest Amazon Kindle Wireless eBook Reader has been in the spotlight for the last month. Much has been written about the Kindle reader and being constantly used by me for the last three weeks, I decided to share my views regarding this gadget.

One week after being launched last month, I decided to purchase the latest Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device. To be honest, this gadget is sleek, light and quite stunning in appearance. However in this short review I would like to go beyond appearances and share with you some thoughts to help you reach an informed opinion.

1. The Kindle reader has a 9.7" display which has definitely been kinder to my eyes as opposed to its predecessor which was only 6". Amazon claims that the screen looks like real paper and I can say that this is no idle boast.

2. Screen rotation allows me to zoom in or look at pictures, tables, maps etc., from portrait to landscape view! Be warned, do not leave the AUTO feature on as the battery will quickly discharge.

3. Buttons are on the right so I am lucky to be right handed. Left handed people will feel awkward using it.

4. 3G Global wireless coverage is helpful in my job as it requires me to travel. I had no problem downloading abroad and neither in my kitchen!

5. No PC required - a sigh of relief - as I am not PC friendly!

6. Perfect for bookworms like me as I suffer from lack of storage space at home when it comes to books. I now feel I have a mobile library. At 19 ounces (500 grams) the Kindle reader is kind on my shoulders and arms, and I can pack 3,000 eBooks and documents.

7. More than 400,000 eBooks are available for the Kindle reader, so I am spoilt for choice. Checking out the first chapters FREE, before buying an eBook is really helpful. Finally a dictionary is included.

8. I do need any bookmarks, and this has been most appealing to me. Ever close a book and forgot to put your bookmark? I know the feeling too well. Kindle reader remembers the last page of every eBook I was reading.

I sincerely hope after reading this brief review you are more knowledgeable about this wireless device. The Kindle reader has dominated the eBook industry and is here to stay. Moreover, eBooks are the future for environmental and technological reasons.

11 Points Why You Should Buy The Latest Model Kindle

If you have looked into purchasing some sort of ebook reader until recently there were not too many viable options available. Even worse yet not many consistent ways to get ebook downloads.

This all changed recently with Amazon.com unveiling its newest creation. The Kindle.

Amazon Kindle is an e-book reader developed by Amazon.com subsidiary Lab126 which uses wireless connectivity to enable users to shop for, download, browse, and read e-books, magazines, newspapers, blogs and other digital media.

Wow, just think of all those years in high school when you had to carry and purchase all those heavy books in your knapsack. Those days are over, thanks to this new technology. All you need is a Kindle and a tiny notebook to carry to school.

Imagine how technology evolves. You won't regret buying the latest Kindle. Here are some facts about the latest Amazon Kindle:

All-new, High Contrast E link screen - 50% better contrast with latest E Ink Pearl technology
Read in bright sunlight - no glare
New and Improved Fonts - new crisper, dark fonts
New Sleek Design - 21% smaller body while keeping the same 6" size reading area
17% lighter - only 8.5 ounces, weighs less than a paperback
Battery life of up to two months - a single charge lasts up to two months with wireless off
Double the storage - up to 3,500 books
Built-in Wi-Fi - shop and download books in less than 60 seconds
20% Faster Page turns - seamless reading
Enhanced PDF Reader - with dictionary lookup, notes and highlights
Webkit-Based Browser - browse the web over Wi-Fi

There is one disadvantage I came across on the Kindle and that was touchscreen. This product would be much better if it carried touchscreen technology. Maybe the new Kindle 4 will have that type of feature included.

With those amazing facts stated above, you will not have any second thought on buying the kindle. It is also a ready to use device, no set up, no software to install, no computer required.

It is not limited to just news and published books, the Kindle can also read many blogs and used to surf the Internet using the built in web browser.

So, if you are in the market for a device which can carry all your current reading as well as your daily news reads, then you should buy Kindle which is right for you. The device does prevent you from carrying all your reading material.

What Makes Amazon's Latest E-Reader Kindle DX Better Than Its Predecessors?

Amazon already dominated the market of electronic readers with its two hit products - original Kindle and Kindle 2. But still there was something missing. With other electronic readers like Sony's PRS series, Barnes and Noble Nook e-reader users wanted something more in their Amazon Kindle. Amazon took the challenge judiciously and released its new e-reader Kindle DX. Everything that was missing in the previous two releases has been taken care of. If you do a comparison between all the available e-readers then you are bound to find this version of Kindle at the top of the list.

Improvements done in Kindle DX

The best feature which it offers to its users is the large display. Kindle 2 has a display size of 6 inch, but in Kindle DX it is 9.7 inch. It will give the user a real reading experience. It also uses better e-link display technology with high resolution to make the display smoother. It uses 16 level grey scale display which gives the reader a reading experience without any strain in the eyes. Due to its larger display it is more suitable to read newspaper, magazines. Moreover previous Kindle releases did not have the ability to read PDF files, but Kindle DX has built in PDF reader which makes it more popular among its users.

There are also other improvements which this new Kindle offers. Kindle 2 has an internal memory of 2 GB which allows the user to store 1500 e-books at max, whereas the latest Kindle has increased internal storage of 4 GB. Now the user can store up to 3500 e-books.

Now after reading about all these cool features offered by Kindle DX you must be excited enough to buy one. But before you do so, just think once that do you really need all these new features added to it? Is not Kindle 2 enough according to your requirements? It is because there is a huge difference in the price. So until you need all these new features badly enough you should not go for it. But if you use your Kindle the way it should be then of course you should not wait to buy the new e-reader from Amazon.

Amazon Kindle 3 Latest Generation - One of the Best Gifts for Your Loved Ones

There is a reason why the name "Kindle" is synonymous with e-book readers. It is the same reason one refers to a cola soft-drink as a "Coke" or a mp3 player as an "iPod", regardless of these items real brand identity. These items carry the largest market share of their respective segments, and are often looked upon as the gold-standard for that segment. The Kindle 3 is merely an evolutionary step on what was the gold-standard for all-around e-book readers, the Kindle 2. In this step, Amazon has basically fine tuned the Kindle, without introducing anything new of note, save WiFi.

Aside from now being available in a graphite finish, the first thing users will notice is the reduction in overall size, while maintaining a 6 inch screen size. The Kindle 3 is now 21 percent smaller and 15 percent lighter than its predecessor. It also features an improved E Ink screen. This new screen is responsible for much quicker page turning, as well as a 50 percent increase in screen contrast.

Inside the box, the Kindle 3 has doubled the on-board memory to 4GB. Now it is capable of holding 3500 eBooks, compared with 1500 on the previous model. This means the tiny Kindle is now able to hold more books than most small-town libraries. Other notable internal improvements come in the form of moderately improved battery life, expanded text-to-speech, and an improved PDF reader.

The biggest advancement comes from the addition of WiFi. The Kindle 3 is now able to utilize any WiFi network, instead of being solely reliant upon AT&T's network. Even bigger than the addition of WiFi is the fact that there is now a WiFi only model of the Kindle 3 and it retails at a very reasonable $139. At $189, the 3G + WiFi model is a bargain, especially considering there is no monthly subscription fee for the 3G wireless service.

Like all Kindle's, the 3 makes use of Amazon's impressive selection of titles; including books, newspapers, and magazines. While the Kindle should support ePub for free library downloads, Amazon makes amends by offering quite a few books which have copyrights that have lapsed and now are available in the public domain, for free. There are more than enough classics available to keep a Kindle user reading on-the-cheap for quite some time.

There is a reason the Kindle is at the top, and isn't falling off anytime soon. It is the best dedicated e-book reader that can be had. It is completely focused in obtaining written content for the readers enjoyment, in the most efficient, and simplest manner possible. The Kindle 3 is the perfect choice for someone looking for the best dedicated reader, with no intentions of ever using it for anything but a reader.

Latest Generation Kindle Cover - Do You Need a Kindle 3G Cover?

The latest generation Kindle cover isn't just about running out to get the latest gadget cover on the market. There are some very real reasons to invest a little extra money in a Kindle case in order to protect your investment in one of the latest generation Kindle devices on the market. There have been many updates and upgrades to the new kindle device. One of the most noticeable for those who have had a Kindle in the past is the smaller size. This means the new Kindle will not fit securely inside your old case.

Don't take this the wrong way. There is plenty of room for the 6" Kindle to fit inside the case that carried the 9.7" Kindle. The problem is that the old cases will not provide the same degree of protection that a properly fitting latest generation Kindle case would. That is why it is best just to make the investment in order to protect your kindle from being dropped, falling out, or even getting damaged by the case itself. Protection is the most pressing reason the average person buys a cover for a Kindle device. You don't want to think you have adequate protection only to discover that your cover was the cause of the damage.

Do you need the latest generation Kindle cover for your Kindle? There is a lot of debate about this and each side of the debate may have some valid points. The bottom line is that the Kindle cover does not exist solely for the purpose of looks. It can help you set your Kindle apart from others. It does allow you to add a little personal style, taste, and/or flare to your Kindle. You can even use a cover to ensure that your Kindle matches other items you have covers for like a laptop computer, mp3 player, cell phone, and/or personal organization device.

Deciding whether or not you need a latest generation Kindle cover is an easy decision for the average consumer. Kindles come with a pretty substantial price tag. Covers offer protection for the screen as well as for the device itself. Kindle covers provide some degree of shock absorption from falls. They also allow the device to be easier to grip so that falls are less likely. Once you've made the investment in purchasing your Kindle device the little extra investment in a cover seems like a pittance to pay.

Kindle 3 Review - Latest Kindle Reader to Capture the E-Book Reader Market

Finally, Kindle 3 is officially launched on 28 July 2010 for ordering. With Kindle 3 being the latest kindle, it is to outbeat its competitors including iPad, Ereader and The Nook in terms of the offered prices and features. Kindle 3 review will be shared here to compare its fantastic improvements over the 2nd generation Kindle 2.

Kindle 3 Size and Weight

Kindle 3 is really 21% smaller and 17% lighter than its former Kindle 2 family model. The 6" display size still remain as it is even with this smaller form factor. This has greatly enhanced Kindle's portability and to outshine against all of its other competitors in the similar category. With only 8.7 ounces in weight, Kindle 3 can be read comfortably with only one hand as it is even lighter than a typical paperback and slimmer than a magazine.

Kindle 3 Battery Life

Former Kindle 2 battery life is about 14 days without wireless connection. The new Kindle 3 has certainly pushed its battery life even further to a longer period of one month without wireless condition. In real reality, its battery life may be even longer than its official stated specifications.

Kindle 3 Screen Display And Size

This 3rd generation of 6" kindle reader has the same improvement of over 50% contrast than any other e-reader for the optimum reading experience. Kindle 3 can be read with its latest, high contrast E-ink for the sharpest texts and images. With this latest display feature, the reading experience can be almost the same like reading on printed book. Its screen display is also sharper and more natural with no glare or backlight. Therefore, it is even more comfortable to read on Kindle than reading on a computer screen. Those who know Kindle 3 for the first time will love it at the first sight.

Kindle 3 Fonts

Besides having a better display quality, its proprietary font technology has also improved to make pages turn faster even with more sharper fonts. This better feature has led to the making of words and letters more crisp, clear and natural looking. Kindle 3 also comes with 2 additional font options of condensed Caecilia and Sans Serif. It can also allow a broader range of characters like Cyrillic used in Russian, Tajik, Bulgarian and dozens of other languages like Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Greek and etc.

Kindle 3 Storage, Wireless Connectivity And Price

Kindle 3 now has a bigger 4GB of internal flash memory for storing about 3,500 books. This is more than double of the Kindle 2's storage capacity. Similarly to Kindle 2, it has eliminated external memory card storage. For Kindle 3 with both 3G and Wi-Fi option pricing at US$189, its faster 3G connectivity has removed the need for large internal buffer storage. It can now also take advantage of its neighbouring 3G Wi-Fi hotspots for quicker download speed and to download stuffs without telco coverage. For Kindle 3 with only Wi-Fi option, it only cost US $139 and 0.2 ounces lighter to match the expectation of budget conscious book readers.

Other Kindle 3 Features

Kindle 3 has the similar social features for supporting Facebook and Twitter integration. It also gets voice-accessible menus along with text-to-speech feature to make Kindle a fully accessible device that can be used in a classroom.

In summary, the launch of Kindle 3 is a clear evidence that the kindle reader [http://www.latestkindlestore.com] product roadmap is well planned and it is on track to capture more market share of Ebook Readers.
