Why Would You Want to Buy the Amazon Kindle 2 Electronic Book Reader

One of the best reasons for buying the new Amazon Kindle 2 is that it's cool. With that sentiment out of the way, let's move on to the features and benefits of having this really cool, new gadget. It had to happen; books, newspapers, blogs and audio books were due for an upgrade. In line with that idea, Amazon, one of the largest booksellers and now sellers of just about anything else that can be shipped, took on the task of making a sleeker, smaller, more portable version of the book, newspaper et. Al.

Enter a book reader. Now, book readers are not new. There have been a plethora of book readers on the market for years starting with the Franklin eBookMan in 1999. What makes the e-reader such a nice thing to have is its size. It can hold a lot of books, doesn't weigh much and reads just like a book. E Ink Technologies developed a 166 resolution, simulated book paper that looks so much like the average book that it is hard to tell the difference. Amazon took it t the next level.

The original Kindle holds up to 200 books, while when you buy Kindel 2, there is room for over 1500 books. You may wonder why you'd ever need over 1500 books; however, the point may be that you can carry your entire library in a device that weighs only 10.2 ounces which is lighter than your standard paperback book and is just over 1/3 of an inch which is as thin as most magazines.

There have been some other improvements when you buy Kindel 2 over the original Kindle. There is an improvement in the display, and it now reads more like real paper with 16 shades of grey for even crisper images and clearer text. The batter life has been extended by 25%, and page turning is now 20% faster. It also allows you to adjust the text size to where it is comfortable for your vision needs.

One of the newest, novel features of the kindle is that it now has a text-to-speech function so that if you want, you can have your magazines and newspapers read to you. This makes a wonderful companion as you drive or do other work, which requires your hands and vision to be focused elsewhere.

When you buy ebook readers, there are some things that separate the standard models from the swanky, high-class cousins. Amazon's new Kindle 2 is coupled with the Amazon bookstore where you can download over 250,000 books plus a wide assortment of U.S. and international magazines, newspapers and blogs. You can also download books at a much-reduced price, including the New York Times bestsellers and new book releases at $9.99 unless marked otherwise.

When watching television, for instance, and you see a book that interests you on a talk show, you can instantly purchase and download that book to your Kindle library through their proprietary broadband network called Whispernet. You can also surf the Internet and even read your email online. With all of the new features that the Kindle 2 provides, you might want to ask instead why not buy Kindel 2 and take advantage of all the benefits it has to offer.

As you can see, the Amazon Kindle has some great features that bring value to almost any avid book reader. Find out more about the amazon kindle

Are you an avid reader of eBooks? Here is good news for you. Amazon has come up with its third generation of eBook reader that will perfectly suit your taste-the Amazon Kindle 3.

Before you get lured into impulsive buying of iPads and tablets, just take some time to read this Amazon Kindle 3 review so you can be properly guided in buying.

Basically this Amazon Kindle 3 review will focus on the hardware and software, as well as the traditional and brand new features of this third generation Kindle.

First, the Kindle 3 is actually recommended by a number of experts. It gets 4.5 to 5 star ratings in almost all reviews that you can find in the Web. In fact, it is the most hyped eBook reader of 2010. And since it is third generation, you are assured of a very refined product.

Among the features that caught the attention of many is its screen which has an increase of 50 percent in terms of contrast ratio as opposed to its predecessors. It has a 6-inch reading area. In fact, some even say that it is the best eReader screen they ever encountered.

It is also very small. Its body is 21 percent smaller than previous versions of the Kindle. You can actually place it size by size with a small paperback or pocketbook and they are just of the same size; only the pocketbook or paperback is thicker.

Adding to its small size is its very light weight. Together, they make the Kindle 3 very portable as compared to other eBook readers especially tablets and iPads.

Its improved battery life is also a boost to the Kindle 3. Now, you can enjoy using it for a month without having to charge it. But if you are using your wireless, the battery can last only up to 10 days.

Another hit you would see if you read an Amazon Kindle 3 review is the 20 percent increase in the speed of page turns. You can also enjoy three new font choices. The standard and condensed Caecilia font, and sans serif.

Alongside these brand new features of the Kindle 3 are of course the traditional features of all generations of Kindle-free wireless, text to speech feature and social networking feature. Together, they take the Kindle 3 at levels higher than its competitors.

It has two versions-the wi-fi only version, and the version with 3G. You do not have much choice in color for the wi-fi only version because it comes in black alone. The 3G version, on the other hand comes in gray and black.

Its low price has also been commended by a couple of Amazon Kindle 3 review. It seems to be targeting the masses. It is very affordable at around £100 for the wi-fi version.

This is just one Amazon Kindle 3 review. You can search more of this and other expert opinions. But for many who have actually tried it, the Amazon Kindle 3 is perfect for the dedicated eBook reader in you.
