The price difference

One of the main differences that really stands out between the Sony E-book Reader and Kindle is the vast price disparity. There's a whopping 100 dollar difference with the Sony reader being priced at 300 USD and Kindle having a price of 400 USD. The 10 cent fee is applicable for wireless transfer of word documents. However, if users do not wish to shell out this fee, free transfers can be leveraged. For this, the file or attachment needs to be sent to 'name'@free.kindle.com where name stands for the ID used for your Kindle email address. So if the Kindle email ID is smith@kindle.com then attachments need to be sent to smith@free.kindle.com and then the file gets converted and emailed to the associated Amazon account.

Battery life

The Amazon Kindle is by far a better choice when it comes to battery life. You can go for four days at a stretch without any need to charge the Kindle. Both the Nook and iPad are colored and touch screen but after a while the back light will turn off while you're reading it. iPad is the best mp3 player easy to navigate and songs are organized in folders but not the best ebook reader. Nook and iPad weights heavier, it does really matter for an hour of reading it's quite tiring not relaxing. Their battery drains faster last for only 4-6 days and Kindle last for 3-4 weeks. Reading from LCD touch screen is irritating and reading from a Kindle screen is soothing.

Some people say that Kindle battery is irreplaceable and opening your Kindle may void its warranty. Although this is not a problem because Kindle will replace it with free of charge. Moreover, Kindle battery will last for 3-4 weeks it means that you will charge it for only 14-20 times a year therefore its battery will last until 4-6 years.

Kindle doesn't have a back light so you can't read it in the dark. The reason why Kindle doesn't have a back light is because it will keep you out from straining your eyes. The simple solution to this problem is to buy a small light that can be clipped to your Kindle case and comfortably reading it.
