Where to Buy Kindle 2?

OK. So e-book readers have been around a while.  For years, multiple versions have appeared on the horizon but nothing has caught on. Enter the Kindle 2. For the first time (at least in my daughter's lifetime) it's now cool to read.  No one turns their nose up at you for reading in the academia world but now even the kids and techies are "getting it". Old school finally meets up with the 21st century.

Where to buy Kindle 2?  Whoa!  Let's 'kick the tires' a bit first...

Amazon launched the Kindle 2 digital book reader in February 20009. This 1/3 inch wide wonder not only has nifty features but with its Whispernet network is completely connected. If you can make a cell phone from where you are, you can download a book, get blog updates, or sync with your iPhone. It's basically a cellular eBook reader that not only connects you to the Amazon bookstore, but also allows access to daily newspaper subscription/deliveries, as well as text dominated websites, e.g. Wikipedia, or 100's of blogs.

Slim and light (9.7 oz) it weighs no more than a newspaper or magazine, this next generation Kindle 2 has superior qualities. The button layout on the keyword has been designed for optimal ease of use and is a huge improvement over previous readers. No longer can you hit buttons 'by mistake' or have to open a new window to view a dictionary definition.

I had read about the 'glare free' feature of the screen and to be honest I was a bit skeptical. I have yet to find a cell phone that I can easily read in bright sunlight. Well, Apple should give Amazon a call for a few tips because it truly is glare free. I read three chapters of All Quiet on the Western Front as it's a breeze to see each and every word without suffering from eye strain, but neither the kids' splashing nor the humidity caused the Kindle to hiccup. I cant say the same about the paperback my neighbor was trying to read. Within an hour it was a 'wavy', soggy.

I know I touched on it briefly already, but I can't say enough about the wireless operation of this device. Whispernet they call it. Sure, it offers access to the web and to the 100,000's of books, but it also can sync up with other Kindles, or even your iPhone. And the beautiful part is, when you get your Kindle Amazon antes up for your free connectivity for as long you own the Kindle. Just to be clear. You DON'T have to search for any 'wi-fi' network either. This works at the beach (been there, done that), the park, or riding in the car going 60 mph on the way to grandma's house. Imagine not having to try to 'sleep' for those three hour cross country flights ever again!

Now, at a price tag of $349 (Which is what I ponied up in February), I would have liked the books to be free to be honest. But alas they are not, and I have spent a small fortune on paperbacks over the years that end up as wavy, curly, shells of their former selves. I guess nothing free (except Whispernet) in this world.

Where to buy Kindle 2? The easiest question of all. Amazon of course. It is not offered anywhere else on the planet.

Kindle Where To Buy New and Used Devices

To start with, I know your dilemma when trying to figure exactly the cheapest way to get into a new or near new Kindle for the best possible price. When you consider that the new model comes with not only a lot of cool new features and functionality, but a surprising price reduction.

Now coupled with the fact that many folks just don't want that new fancy gift from their aunty and decide to sell it online, is the added dimension of difficulty and that is on which website are you going to get the best deal.

Well everyone knows that shopping on eBay these days is a great way to make savings, especially when you consider that a lot of people sell their unwanted Christmas gifts there, you could be forgiven for expecting to get the best possible bargain. If you are not sure about the real price of a new Kindle, the best place to start is Amazon.com

The Kindle is a device that is somewhat ironically manufactured and sold by Amazon, you know the guys who brought us the best book selling website on the planet. It does seem rather funny that they would come up with a device that would essentially cut short their paperback and hardcover product sales. Some may call this a cannibalization of their primary sales products but there is another way to look at this.

Consider that there may be a kind of amnesty on paper based books purchased with the light of getting the ebook version at a discount if you buy the wireless reader Kindle.

Probably your best bet is to go to both sites and do a comparison shop on the latest and cheapest models of Kindle available. It is an interesting note to point out and that is that what is not so widely known but Amazon do actually sell secondhand items as well. So if the idea of not having to bid in auction style is appealing and you can straight out buy the Kindle of your dreams, then that is not only the place to start but also may be your last stop on the way to enjoying your new wireless reader at the best price possible.

So you now know that there is probably on one stop you need to make before you make a purchase, and that is to visit my website to read some more on Kindles. To find out more on Kindle where to buy and more, please visit my site, at homeblvd.com/kindle-where-to-buy-kindle/

Where Can You Buy Kindle at the Best Prices?

If you are asking "where can you buy Kindle?" and you want the very best price, the answer is really simpler than you may think. You see the Kindle has been developed by Amazon, so it's no real surprise that it has become one of their best sellers and that they sell at the very keenest prices.

With the latest developments you may find one of the earlier versions second hand and for slightly less dollars than a new Kindle, but it really is not worth the small saving as the latest models have really improved the electronic reading experience.

So What Puts the Kindle 3G Streets ahead of its Rivals?

The first thing is the new technology that gives you and electronic reading that is as close to reading a book as you can get. There is none of the glare that you get from reading backlit screens and the Kindle is even easy to read in direct sunlight.

The Kindle makes carrying a whole library of book easy. You can store up to 3,500 books, and if you need a reference library you can connect to the internet and access all text based sites.

This has got to be one of the easiest gadgets to use that has ever been invented. The Kindle has built in 3G so it accesses the internet in the same way as a mobile phone but with no contracts and no top ups. You can connect just about anywhere for free and there is not even any need to set the machine up. Take it out of the box and off you go.

It takes about 60 seconds to download a new book. And you can even read the first chapter for free to make sure it is going to hook you in before you part with a dime.

You can even subscribe to your favourite newspaper or magazine.

With the development of the latest Kindles there is no need to wait any longer. The price has dropped and the functionality is without fault.

The range of features is just too long to list but how about these for some of it's top characteristics:

Adjustable font size
Display adjustments for comfortable reading in all light levels

Looking For Where To Buy A Kindle Reader?

There are a large number of other people looking for the exact same thing. Keep reading and I will tell you exactly where to buy a Kindle Reader at a fantastic price.

The Kindle Reader is the best ebook reader available and it only keeps getting better with every generation.

First lets look at seven convincing reasons why so many people are on a quest to find where to buy it.

Reason #1 - It is the lightest and thinnest ebook reader on the market, with the latest generation weighing in at a whopping 8.5 Ounces.

Reason #2 - It is childishly simple to use and there is no computer required. There is absolutely no setup, and exactly zero software to install.

Reason #3 - It has a battery life of up to one month if you use the device with wireless off. Even if wireless is on, it will last up to 3 weeks.

Reason #4 - It has built-in Wi-Fi and detects Wi-Fi networks automatically. In addition, once you have logged in to a particular network, the next time you are in or near that hotspot the Kindle automatically reconnects to it.

Reason #5 - You can get eBooks within less than 60 seconds. The Kindle Reader uses Whispernet, which allows you to search and download content while you are on the go. Your selected books or periodicals are then retrieved like I said in less that 60 seconds.

And one of the most useful reasons in my opinion is the next reason.

Reason #6 - It has a no glare display. You can read directly in the bright sunlight and still be able to clearly see the text. This makes reading on the beach or reading on the front porch no problem at all with the Kindle Reader.

Reason #7 - The price. You can't beat the price for all of the great features you get with a Kindle Reader.

This is nowhere near an exhaustive list of reasons why people are scampering to find out where to buy a Kindle Reader, but it does make for a convincing case.

Some quick reviews from some very reputable sources are:

"New Kindle leaves rivals farther back." - New York Times

"Amazon's newest Kindle is the best ebook-reading device on the market. It's better than the Apple iPad, the Barnes and Noble Nook, the various Sony readers..." - Fast Company

"Battery life is long enough for space shuttle missions." - Wired

"Simply put, it's the best dedicated ebook reader you can buy..." - PC World

Where To Purchase Your Kindle

When it comes to purchasing electrical goods on the Internet, prices can vary a great deal. We all want to make sure we are paying as little as possible whilst still being sure we are buying from a trusted and reliable source. I know how difficult it can be when researching for the best price of a product because they all promise you the best deal.

That is why I have found where to purchase the Kindle for you. I have done the research and I have looked around for the best price, so you don't have to.

The newly released Kindle 3 can be found advertised online anywhere between $139 and $250 for the non-3G model and $189 and $300 for the 3G model. Some of these sellers you can trust, but others you should stay far away from.

I have noticed recently that the spam in my inbox is filling up with daily "deals" on the Amazon Kindle. Some of these clowns promise a brand new Kindle 3 for $20 or less, something which is obviously a scam.

Think about it this way. Who was the creator of the Kindle? Amazon right? Amazon would obviously like to sell as many Kindle units as possible themselves through Amazon.com, without having to use other vendors. A good rule of thumb in business is to never discount your core product. Kindle has been the best-selling Amazon product for years and Amazon would like to keep it that way. A Fortune 500 company like Amazon would never allow anyone else to offer a better price on their core product. What this means is that other vendors that would like to sell the Kindle in their physical or online store have to buy it straight from Amazon at retail ($139 or $189), being what you would pay from Amazon.com. It makes sense then, that these other vendors would have to put a premium on top of the retail price if they are to make any money. Hence why we see online stores other than Amazon selling the Kindle 3 for anything between $5 - $50 extra.

Another thing to keep in mind is that if you decide not to buy from Amazon it can be quite the headache should your Kindle stuff up. You will most likely have to send it back to the warehouse you bought it from, which will send it to Amazon to be repaired or replaced. Amazon will then send it back to the warehouse who will forward it to you. This process will take a while, trust me. Dealing directly with Amazon is much easier as you are able to skip a few of these steps.

At the end of the day it is quite simple. If you want to get a Kindle, get it straight from Amazon. Not only will you get the best price, but you will be dealing directly with the manufacturer should anything go wrong.

Buy the Kindle 2 - The Features of the Kindle 2 Explained and Where to Buy it For Cheap

Are you thinking you want to buy the Amazon Kindle 2? So what are the Kindle's features and where can you get the Kindle 2 for the cheapest price? Read on for some in depth information about this ultra popular ebook reader.

The Kindle 2 and Whispernet Technology- The "Whispernet" wireless technology behind the Kindle 2 is a feature that once separated it from the other ebook readers. Now wireless capabilities are available on other popular ebook readers such as the Nook from Barnes and Noble and the Sony EReader Daily Edition. However no other but the Kindle 2 allows for international usage.

International Usage- The Kindle 2 boasts available usage in over 100 countries. The Nook and Sony Reader are still only giving service to the United States. This is a definite leg up on the competition for the Amazon Kindle 2.

Memory- Available memory space for the Kindle is currently at 2 GB. That can allow you to store about 1,500 titles on the device. Other e-readers like the Nook have the ability to upgrade to more memory to store up to 17,500 books.

E-Ink Display Screen- The E-Ink display screen technology is common between the 3 big e-readers in the market, the Kindle 2, Nook and Sony. This is not like staring at a computer screen for hours on end. The screen is anti-reflective and reads as clear as text on a page. Text can be zoomed in or out to the needs of the reader.

Push Button Navigation- There has been a lot of debate as to whether this is a good feature or not with the Kindle 2. However, is a touch screen navigation good for a device that is held by the hands in various positions for hours on end? Push button technology could be seen as behind the times, but could also be seen as the best technology for a digital ebook reader.

Wireless and 3G- The Kindle 2 functions with cellular 3G service when no wireless is available. This is common to most ereaders today as well. However, there is global reception available to customers for the Kindle 2, whereas there is not for the Nook and Sony.

The Kindle 2 and Travel- The whole e-book reader technology is such a great concept for travel. You no longer have to pack books that take up space that you won't read. Or worry that you don't have enough reading material. Space is dramatically saved compared to conventional reading material.

Do You Know Where to Buy Amazon Kindle 2?

From saving trees to nationwide Wi-Fi, the Amazon Kindle brings a world of good to the American readers. Those who have tried it swear by it and those who have not - ought to. One of the coolest things about it is how easy it is on the eyes. For folks with old-sightedness (Presbyopia), the ebook reader is one of the best things brought forth by modern technology. The Amazon Kindle 2 rocks.

Without doubt, the original Kindle claim to fame is its technology. In its successor the Kindle 2, the rough edges of the maiden Kindle have been sorted out and what's already good have become even better. The display is one example of that. The text and images on the electronic paper screen appear crisper and sharper than the real paper book. If you're spending money on treating eyestrain or fatigue, stop. Buy a Kindle instead.

In using our eyes, we need also to protect them so they can continue to serve us. Eye strain as a result of excessive or prolonged reading can be alleviated with the proper gear and technique and that's what the Electronic Ink Digital Display in the Amazon Kindle 2 is set for. Those who use bi-focal or reading glasses particularly will notice the difference right away. So where to buy Amazon Kindle? Well, order it online of course.

The Amazon Kindle 2 differentiates itself from the ordinary by its electronic ink and paper technology. Powered by 16 hi-definition shades of gray, the display is a knockout. Where it was a tad tardy in the previous model, the refresh rate in the current Kindle is only a nifty quarter second, significantly improved, and more, right from your first cursor movement. With no backlight to dampen the video contrast, reading in sunlight is a breeze.

While the appearance and readability is modeled after the modest paperback book, the Kindle is vogue. The display looks simple but yet sophisticated with advanced technology. Ergonomics is also topnotch with functional switches, buttons and keys complementing rather than competing with the screen. All said, the device is meant to be in the background anyway; so the reader can get 'lost in your reading, not the technology'.

Ebooks, magazines, newspapers and other reading media are conveniently available online at Amazon itself and that is also where to buy Amazon Kindle. If you're going to read, you might as well do it comfortably and in style. The pleasing display and what it does for the health of your eyes deserve more credit and attention than is given. Amazon's Kindle Fire - Where Content And Price Are King

Amazon's Kindle Fire is 'rekindling' and 'firing' up the eReader market! From the Kindle's roots as a dedicated e-book reader, Amazon's new eReader is no longer just that. It is now a full-blown multimedia tablet designed to compete alongside the top competitors such as the Apple iPad. Announced in September 2011 by Amazon chief Jeff Bezos, the Kindle Fire is scheduled to go on sale on November 15th just in time for Christmas. But will it really 'fire' up Christmas shoppers? Has it really sparked a change in the crowded tablet market? Can it compete against the ultimate market leader Apple iPad? Let's take a closer look at the Kindle Fire to see how it stacks up.

Screen size versus portability

The Kindle Fire packs a 7-inch touchscreen and includes multi-touch capabilities. With this compact size, it is easier to hold in one hand than the much larger iPad and this is what e-book readers prefer over tablets, but screen size is clearly a matter of preference and a necessary trade-off between screen viewing and portability. The question is: will a tablet reader except this trade-off?

How does the screen quality compare?

The Kindle Fire screen uses a new technology known as IPS (in-plane-switching), which is also found in the iPad to allow extra wide-angle viewing. One key highlight is its screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, which yields an image quality of 169 pixels per inch (ppi). It is interesting to know that this beats the iPad 2 which only sports 132 ppi. The display of the Kindle Fire is made of Gorilla Glass, which is a chemically strengthened glass said to be 20-30 times harder than plastic, which is a nice addition for durability.

What about performance?

Weighing in at only 14.6 ounces, it is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM, putting it on quite equal par with the iPad 2 in terms of speed and performance.

And Web-browsing and Storage?

Internet browsing on the Kindle Fire is no less inferior thanks to its Amazon Silk browser. Silk enables "split browser" technology that makes the most of Amazon cloud storage and the latest dual-core processor on board. Though the internal storage of the Kindle Fire is only 8GB versus the options of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB on the Apple iPad 2, Amazon overcomes this shortcoming by making full use of its cloud storage. So users of the Kindle Fire are able to store and backup many e-books and files online in the 'cloud' as well, similar to iCloud in the iPad's latest iOS 5.

And Connectivity?

Although Amazon's new eReader still does not include 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi is reliable at 802.11n with USB 2.0 connectivity as well. It is powered by a modified version of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, which allows users access to the Amazon App Store.

And this is where Kindle starts to blaze! Content!

It really is all about content at Amazon. Though somewhat limited here to only about 10,000+ apps out of the 230,000 available on the Android marketplace, versus the 90,000 iPad apps from the 500,000+ apps in the Apple App Store, the Kindle Fire's strongest selling point is its seamless integration and access to Amazon's vast repertoire of content and online storefronts. Users have a visually-appealing and convenient access to Amazon content online, be it e-books, movies, music, magazines, games or even TV shows.

And Kindle Fire simply blows the roof off on price!

Best of all, the Kindle Fire is priced very competitively at only $199, versus the $499-$829 of the iPad 2, which makes it very affordable to a much larger market, both young and old alike. Although not as strong as the iPad 2 in some features and specs, it still packs enough punch in the package of content that it offers at great value for money.
