Kindle Wireless Device: How to Delete Items From Your Kindle

If you ever request a refund for an ebook through Amazon, as a company they do have a way of making sure that you do not continue to read and access the same ebook, to which you had requested and received a refund for (after all, Amazon does have a 7 day return policy for their ebooks, some people are fast readers!). This is another challenge that the company itself faces. In the case that you request and receive a refund, for reasons such as your ebook reading expectations were not met by the Kindle book you purchased, or you simply couldn't get past the first page (the book was a bore), you can submit a request for a refund from Amazon.com and they will see about your case.

So what's next after Amazon has refunded your money back?

Please note, all refunds made through Amazon, will be issued back to the same payment method that you originally used to make your ebook purchase. The normal timeline for refunds is usually 2-3 business days.

After Amazon grants your request for a refund of your ebook, they will send you an email requesting that you 'remove the refunded item from Your Media Library'. You will need to delete the copy (since you will no longer be able to access it). Below are ways you can go about deleting an item from your Kindle wireless reading device:

1. Go to your 'Home' screen and if you are not on the 'Home' screen, simply press the 'Home' key.

2. Use your cursor and scroll over to the 'Menu', after this, choose the 'Select' wheel.

3. Choose the option of ''Content Manager'' right from the Home screen menu.

4. Select the items/item that you would like to remove using the check boxes located at the right of each item.

5. After you have finished selecting your items, scroll over to the 'Menu' option and choose the select wheel.

6. Choose ''Remove Selected Items'' using the Menu.

7. When asked, choose ''Ok'' in order to make sure that you finally delete the items from your Kindle, if you change your mind and decide to keep the items, you can also select ''Cancel''.
